Event Rules for TechTalk Tussle

• Team Composition: The debate will consist of two teams: one supporting the positive side and the other the negative side. Teams can be formed by combining different individuals based on available slots.
• Debate Structure: Teams will be proceed with opening statement, followed by rebuttals and end with closing reviews. The entire debate conversation must be conducted in English.
• Respectful Conduct: Participants must maintain respect, avoid personal attacks, and not interrupt the opposing team during the debate.
• Time Management: Strict adherence to time limits is mandatory, with penalties for exceeding allocated time.
• Topic Assignment and Preparation: The technology based topic will be given on the spot, and teams will be given few minutes for preparation before the debate begins.
• Judging Criteria: Teams will be evaluated based on content accuracy, presentation style, rebuttal effectiveness and handling questionnaires. The final decision will rely on the jury’s feedback.
• The prize will be given to two individuals: one for the winner and the other for the runner-up.
